Being in the world of "social media", diet or dieting has become a fade. We see en-number of diet plans these days - Keto and what not! Sometimes these diets work and sometimes they don’t. But before taking up these diet plans, have you thought is this the right one or not? Many-a-times people have a misconception that diet plans are only for weight loss or for weight gain. They either starve themselves or stuff a lot of food into their body. But, diet is not what many people think it is. If you Google the word 'Diet', this is what you get - the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats. Which means what you eat in your day-to-day life is your DIET!
Now, diet can differ from a person to person, depending on his/her age, lifestyle choices, body type, health, weight, etc. You don't have to eat what your favorite celebrity is having in order to look like them. Your body needs can be totally different than theirs. You can eat as much or as little as you like depending on your body type and needs. A simple example here can be - you must have seen many thin people eating a lot of food and not gaining weight or vice-versa. Now, this is because of their body type and metabolism level - it varies again for each individual. When talking about a proper
Diet Plan, not eating at all or eating a lot can never be the solution for maintaining your health. It is very important that you understand your body before you stick to a healthy diet plan - consulting a doctor and a dietician can be a good idea. Making healthy choices in life then may it be related to your meal or otherwise is very important. Here are a few things you need to look upon when it comes to diet or maintaining your health:
● It's ok to eat and not to starve - You can eat whatever you want but in a limit. Excess eating anything is always a dangerous thing. Eating every two hours can be great - you can munch on some nuts, fruits, or high fiber biscuits when that small hunger kicks in.
● Reduce sugar - Yes! It is hard, the sugar craving is tough to avoid. But you need to reduce the sugar intake in your diet to be healthy and fit, especially if you are looking to reduce that 2 inches on your waistline.
● Move your body! - The gadgets have spoiled us, we have become lazy as everything today is on our fingertips. Walking, running, or doing any fun activities like dancing every day can really help your body. Start with something small as buying your groceries every day or taking stairs instead of the escalator.
● Say no to processed food - These days everything around us is so processed and that can really be harmful to our health - with all chemicals and preservatives in it. Try getting vegetables, meat, milk, etc. straight from the local vendors and avoid everything that's packaged.
● Be happy! - Being happy, having an positive attitude, and not stressing over things is what's going to keep you healthy.
